Re: Let's see your Mini-Stock truck!
2012 rules are up, changes are in yellow. http://www.lucasoilregional.com/wp-c...ionalRules.pdf
Everyone try work on getting a way to hear race control in these trucks. Scanner, handheld, race radio, raceiver or spotter is even better. It might be required by the time we get to Vegas. There are two blind jumps at Vegas and with a lot of entries in each class, it will really help with safety and lining people up etc..
Mike has built set the mark for mini stocks. Nicely built truck, nice paint and all the right decals. Very detailed out with great numbers and even a rear number. Good job Mike. Everyone this is the way to do it.

Well the little Toyota that woulda, coulda, and shoulda finally did this morning. It's alive... Needs a muffler, number plates, some paint, and it's on!

With the addition of 1.750" tubing will the 1.5" be dropped in the future?

Brian lets see some pix of that old yota.
I only got the fronts mounted. I dint like the position of the rears so still some playing with them to go. The wheel wells are done but putting them in after the final welding is done. s41ts tight under the brake master!

Re: Let's see your Mini-Stock truck!
Bob, my truck has a lot going on around the master cylinder, and I didn't even keep the booster! Your's definitely has a lot of stuff packaged in that area? Does the tire hit the booster at full compression? Mine has little to no clearance between the clutch master and the tire at full bump...
Also, it got real tight and I had to bend both the support tubes for the shock mount so they clear the steering shaft.

Re: Let's see your Mini-Stock truck!
With the bump stop off the lower arm my truck binds the ball joint and starts to lift the truck before the arm hits the stop coming off the frame. It’s just over a ¼ inch from touching it. I put a 31 on it at that point and everything clears well. It’s tight but clears. I got some pix ill try and get up soon. I had to make a spacer/ gusset for the arm to bottom out on so it wouldn’t be bottoming out on the ball joints. I plan on putting a very small polly stop on that just so it doesn’t hit metal to metal. I will end up with 8.5 inches of travel. And it’s cycling the shock about 6 inches. It is just a hair under 9 inches with no polly bump. My tire will be just less than 30 inch so everything clears very well. I am letting it droop tell the ball joints stop it on the way down just don’t think they would do as well stopping it from going up.
I ended the support tubes to the peace coming off the frame for the motor mount. It clears the steering shaft well but is very close to the carb spacer on the other side but it clears. Is also very close to the upper arm but it works.
