Yea thanks it was a blast.
Nate-216 the Nissan definitely has a HP advantage over the 2.4l Toyota and 2.3l ford. But that’s only on paper on the track Mike’s truck is fast. At the wave of the green flag starting next to him he pulled on me hard. The Nissans did too. Could be the gears but I felt a little under powered. I think there all close enough that any truck could win if they have a good day.
I need to add that I haven’t had a timing light on my truck and was shooting in the dark for jetting the Holley 350. There’s probably some more in my truck I just need to figure out how to get it out. And lock up the rear end’ it’s a must. my truck slid around great on the lake bed and out in the desert but not so good on the track. There is no doubt about it anyone building a mini stock lock it up any way you can. Unless the rules change and allow cutting breaks but that’s not going to happen.

Just saw your post about the cutting breaks and took a look in the "official rule book" under the brake section and no where does it say anything about the use of cutting breaks. It should be posted either way, allowed or not allowed, in the rules to clear up any confusion. The rules are for short course racing which uses cutting breaks very offten. So can anyone with any type of authority please clear this up for me, are cutting breaks allowed in the mini stock class? Thanks in advance!
The only constant is change

Did cutting Brakes come stock?
If not, the answer is most likely a NO!

Quick question since we run stock suspension do 2.0 shocks really help? I've jumped my truck before with ranchos and torsion bars turned up fine with no issue I'm just worried about putting all that cash in shocks that I wont feel a difference in
Thanks guys
Nate-216 - if it aint broke brake it and make it better!

Shocks are one of the only mods aloud. Imo you would be at a huge disadvantage with ranchos.
