what engine are guys running in the fords?

The fast mini in az is running 2.3...5 speed .

The little Fords seem to be doing well. The toyotas are always in the hunt and I've only seen 1 Nissan last year at ASCC. The Nissan truck was last years champion in the So Cal Regional Series.

The ranger is the way to go. If i was going to do it again i would probably build a 2.3 ranger its just flat out faster. Ill know for sure after the next race going from fuel injected to carb. So hopefully its about a second faster if not ill be racing for 2nd for a while

what are you running right now? I might be getting my chassis this weekend( no tranny an the motor is a 4L v6 :/) so im lookin at motor an tranny combos right now, wish i could get the toyota tacoma with the 2.4l, way too much tho lol

I run the 22re going to be a 22r. You need the toyota 2.5 or 2.7 the problem with the older toyota is there is no tuning that can be done. Where the newer 2.3 ranger motor can be tuned.. Its like taking a stock ls1 vs a tuned ls1 its crazy in the power difference.
