Re: lets try short course
So class nine desert rules? Weight, rim size, motor, brake light, collision light, etc. Do we need the on board fire system, and screen for the windshield. My car is set up for the Lite Buggy rules right now. I think we should do a wet weight or what Limited buggies have for weight 1580 with driver.
Whatever rules I'm in...

Re: lets try short course
i dont think we would be required to have the on board fire.but yes pretty much all desert rules.that way we could plan it after a desert race(like a more race)and the guys could try it before a big prep.i would think a screen in the front should be installed.but really im just throwing it out there because i think we could make it happen with mybe 10 cars.

Re: lets try short course
I think it would be cool to do as round 3 for Pro-Nine. I however think all we should do is meet the safety requirements for Lucas and keep ALL desert rules intact including weight. I would like to maybe make a stipulation to keep the desert tires to help keep cost down for a single event.

I like the idea, as long as it sticks to desert rules.

Desert tires would be scary in the corners, and you will not save any money if you roll your car. At least think about the weight, are you going to run a jack, spare tire, lug wrench, lights, extra battery. A wet weight with the driver gives the big guys a fair shot at being close to the weight limit.

I like the wet weight idea, and I think we should also be able to run as a 2 seater if we want.
