Harvey Motorsports ES Motorsports/PORTER 1600 Rebuild

Okay June 24, 2006 I wrecked the first PORTER 1600 that Danny Porter and Billy Gasper ever built. It was a terrible crash. I hit a truck and trailer that was stuck on the race course surrounded by a huge cloud of dust. I never had a chance to touch the brakes, 4th gear pinned to a dead stop!













The impact Knocked both myself and my co-rider unconscious. Broke my co-riders ankle at the same time shattering my right knee cap, Tore my ACL, MCL and Medial Meniscus.
It was the hardest hit I have ever encountered. I never want to hit anything that hard again.

The car handled this impact like a champ. The hit sent the beam through the front firewall, turned the beam upside down so the Howe rack was actually on the front of the beam. We dropped the twisted chassis off with Porter Racecars where they put her on the jig and began to cut out the mangled tubing. surprisingly after the removal of tubing the chassis went back to its original position so we decided to rebuild her at the same time puting her on a strict diet.
Billy Gasper did an AMAZING job of rebuilding the car. we couldn't be happier. Thank You so Much Billy and all the guys at ES Motorsports/PORTER!













we picked the chassis up in September of 2007, then began the slow process of puting her back together. financially this was a difficult feat since I was also paying off some lengthy entailed knee surgeries. well it is now January 2011 and I am ready to get her dirty again. I began to put her back together monday after SNORE's RATR. My goal is to race the MORE May Memorial Day Race. I cannot wait.

As soon as I get the trans back from Folts Transmission I will install both the Motor and trans then the car will go back to ES Motorsports to have a new body mounted up and finish some tab work.

thanx the car was always killer looking and a blast to drive... I just hope its a lil bit more competitive since we dropped a significant amount of weight off of her...

I should get the trans tomorrow then it will go in for final touches end of the week or next week... I hope to have the car back by early-mid march so I can put about 500 miles on her then tear her down and do another prep and have her ready for battle!!!

gonna do a select few races this year and hopefully chase a championship next year in MORE and do a few SNORE races as well.

the only thing I am lacking right now besides FUNDS is a CO-RIDER!!! as of now I am accepting applications!!! haha

My normal Co Rider was transfered to TEXAS for work and now pursuing his career in Fitness modeling/Body Building!







He's a beast. He could pick up the side of my car with out needing a jack... as soon as he comes home to Cali he will be in the car but in the meantime I need someone to fill his shoes... haha

Thanks Rory, couldn't agree more, Walley (WalleyWorld) outdid himself with this scheme... and don't worry we are KEEPING the paint job, it has become our trademark!!! haha. not to many people know who we are but they sure recognize the car

Okay i just have to add this 1 last pic of my co-rider Aarin Moore... this is him winning the Texas Fitness Model Competition in October...
I'm super proud of my brother... he has worked so hard to get to where he is at...
