Rightttttt, I can name plenty of drivers that would whoop him off road. But I bet if he made a concentrated effort he would do well considering he would have the best of everything and talent to match.

If he raced off-road again, he would, this is just my opinion, team with Chuck Hovey or Tim Lawrence and dominate. Keep it local...East County, San Diego, CA.

Especially when they ask about his old days, even if they mention the off road stuff he quickly jumps the subject to a different form of racing. Him crashing at the Baja 1000 in Butch and sitting out in the middle of Mexico for 2 days probably left a sour taste in his mouth. He actually did say that was his deciding factor on leaving because it was too dangerous.....I'd have to agree, but thats what makes this sport sooo great.
Actually he was at Lowes to celebrate his 5x win...he invited guests to talk including his dad and city council...He said he loves baja and off road racing but does not have the time. In his HBO special when they followed him to his school and where he grew up he talked alot about off road racing and thats how he got started..had nothing to do with off road hall of fame that day.
