Re: Class 8 Build
With the new rules, why did you decide to build it with the frame level?
Good looking build; what body are you using?

Re: Class 8 Build
overall width will be around 92" or just under that, so wheel base will be around 87-88. We have not notched the rear yet, i am just about done welding the rear links and then we can put the rear in there and cut out what we need to cycle up further. Is that what you meant, Ramsey? we are also boxing the frame and plating the outside, like C and D fabworks did on Matts Class 8.
thats really why the frame is in the jig. Any suggestions would be great. this is the first time ive built a truck without an existing cab. The blue Ranger in my co-dawgs avatar is the first truck we built. Thanks again. Trailer Products 04 trophy truck body.

Re: Class 8 Build
My question was asked to help point you in the direction I believe a Class 8 should be built today; now that the rules no longer require the relationship between the frame and the cab be maintained. PM me if you don't know what I am talking about. You won't need to notch your frame either.

That would be track width.
Wheel base is dictated by the frame year and model +/- 2 inches so it will be around 117 inches, center of front axle to center of rear axle.
