Yes, you just export the waypoints to your computer and use a simple program like GPSBabel to convert them into a .usr file for Lowrance.

I would rather have the range rings like the Lowrance has. A line sticking up would bother Me..........

Range rings are nice too, but as you zoom in and out they stay in the same spot and the value for their distance changes. If you can't read the scale due to bouncing around then their usefulness is degraded.
Another option that I use with Lowrance that I'd like to see is split screen. I often have two maps displayed, one zoomed way in for turn by turn guidance, and the other zoomed out for big picture situational awareness.

You need a bigger GPS, I have no problem reading the range rings in the race truck.......... Or younger eyes..........

Re: iPad in your ride?
So I'm trying to convert a .usr file using GPSvisualizer to a GPX format to uplad to my iPad. I'm doing the convert, saving the GPX file, emailing the GPX to [email protected], getting the email back, opening the email on my iPad and it takes me to MotionX app but no upload. any suggestions?

Reboot your iPad and try again.

Re: iPad in your ride?
This was the response I got from MotionX support:
Thanks for contacting the MotionX team. I apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced. We are aware GPX file importing is not working properly and expect to correct the issue in a future update. Keep an eye out for updates in the app store as they often contain new features and optimizations.
Until the next version of MotionX-GPS HD is available, I recommend managing GPX files on your iPad using iTunes Drag & Drop. To do so, please launch GPS HD on your iPad and go to Menu>Setup>iTunes Drag & Drop. Turn iTunes Drag & Drop on.
Connect your device to your computer, launch iTunes and select your device in the left pane. Select the Apps tab at the top, then scroll down the page until you see the File Sharing section. Select MotionX-GPS HD. Drag the GPX files you'd like to add to MotionX-GPS HD into this window and they will sync immediately to your device. Drag and Drop is also a great feature for backing up your waypoints and tracks from time to time. We have a tutorial online showing step-by-step instructions here (for the iPhone, but also applies to the iPad).
If you have any further questions, please let me know.

When I am way out in the desert and can get any sort of 3/4G signal, I will often switch to Google Earth. That works great for finding new trails. The Topo maps are great once you learn how to read them.
What/where/how did you get DeLorme maps on your Ipad? I can't seem to find any info on Ipad compatable DeLorme maps? I was unable to find anything other than inreach that was Ipad compatiable on DeLormes website...
Also, what brand/model of Bluetooth GPS antenna/puck does everybody prefer? I seem to be having some issues finding one.
Thanks!
