Not sure where everybody ended up. I think our Guilty quad ended up 6th?? Overall we had a good race, no get offs. We had one flat which set us back about 8 minutes on my section after pit 5. I stopped and plugged it. It seems everytime I got on on the bike I was behind somebodys dust except for the last section from pit 8 to the finish.. Dust dust dust!. We lost a CDI unit off the start but we have 2 on the bike mounted where all u have to do is reach down and unlpug it and plug it into the other unit. Not sure why these things keep going out on us.
I think either Lynn Prosser or Ed Teixeira took 1st and second. After that it was too close to call in the expert class. According to ORC, Wayne Matlock took the pro class win.

While waiting at pit 5 for a class 1 car I saw a lot of quads come in with rear flats. I also witnessed something that really reminded me how much bike/quad riders watch out for each other. A rider had got off the hard way and was serioursly hurt. No less then 5 bikes made a point of stopping at the checkpoint workers and giving them all the info they had. He ended up being flown out on Mercy Air. Hope things go well for him.
Eric saw that guy there and told the check point workers when he came through so you probably saw him there. He said at that point the guy was up but he was holding his arm. I hope he is ok. I would also like to thank the Herbst family for putting up the 5000.00 bonus for the pro quads. Even though we arent racing in the pro class nobody has ever stepped like that for the "quad riders" especially someone from the car community. Thats a great thing for our sport and congratulations to Wayne Matlock and the Alba racing crew for taking home the money!

Greg stewarts team rider on the KLX 700 sled was just past pit 2 and looked back to check the bike he passed then WAM hit a rock, ripped the front off of the bike, and sent him flying and the bike tumbling ohh well, the rider was okay but the bike was not so fortunate.
thanx dave! you missed a good one. your bike would have been perfect for the national. being narrow was the key. i had to be creative on some of the rocks oh i mean corse.
