Re: Reclining seat suggestion for '99 Ranger prerunner/DD build???
Sorry for the thread hi-jack, but while we're on the subject... I'm about to pull the trigger on some Baja Rs seats for my ranger as well. I looked into the Sparco Torino 2 seats mentioned on the previous page, and according to UPR and some others, they've been discontinued for about 2 years now. Do you guys have any suggestions for reclining seats you might consider along with the Mastercrafts? Any opinions out there on the Corbeau LG1 for example? Just want to make sure I consider all of the options before purchasing. Thanks for the help!

Re: Reclining seat suggestion for '99 Ranger prerunner/DD build???
I just put in a set of Baja rs seats in my ranger. I am going to build a center console/with a cooler like my other truck.
The rs is the logical fit for the ranger.Had to get rid of the 60/40 seats. Although i will admit its hard to top the stock seats

Thanks for the input. I'm also pretty happy with the factory buckets, but want a seat that offers a bit more containment than oem while being compatible with a 4 or 5pt. harness since the truck is going to be getting a cage in the coming months. The Baja RS seems to be the best fit for what I'm looking for in a seat.

Anyone look at the new Simpson off road seats? I saw them on their website and they look similar to a Corbeau...

One more option that I found was the XRS from Corbeau... http://www.corbeau.com/products/recl...eats/baja_xrs/
The seat looks to be very comfortable, and supportive while still being daily driver friendly. Any Opinions on this seat vs. The Mastercraft Baja RS?

^^that is what I wish I had gotten.
I will tell you I had some pretty nice Baja RS reclining seats. Custom made by Mastercraft with precision.
They looked great and were not janky at all. My only problem was that It was not a comfortable seat at all. I could blame myself for being 6.5 tall tho.
I went and converted back to factory stock black leather buckets.

I agree 100%, except I'm nowhere near 6'5" lol! I really liked the seat but just wasn't happy with the fit and feel vs. stock. The Mastercraft does seem to have the most durable/desert ready fabric though. The Corbeau XRS that I posted above is much more comfortable than the Mastercraft. If you have a 4wp near you give them a ring, a couple of the local 4wp stores here have one on display (they had not idea what it was though, I had to show them in the catalog). I'll post up a picture once I make a purchase and mount the seats in the ranger.
