DiRT 3 for the 3rd Season of the ORRL

Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico (March 26th, 2011) – For the third season of the “ORRL – Vicious Industries” DiRT Racing Series the sanctioning body, Off-Road Racing League, will introduce the new game published and developed by Codemasters, DiRT 3. “We are still not sure if we will replace DiRT 2 completely. We would like to keep the most iconic events of the first two seasons, such as the ORRL Baja 1000, the ORRL Dakar Rally, the ORRL Baja 500, etc. If DiRT 3 allows to keep these events very similar DiRT 2 will be completely replaced; if not, DiRT 2 will still be used for the most iconic events unless the servers are shut down.” Victor Hugo, the Head Administrator of the ORRL, commented on the topic.
According to Codemasters, DiRT 3 will be released on Thursday May 24th, 2011 and while some websites could immediately launch some kind of on-line competition, the ORRL is not afraid of losing its members and even possibly gaining new ones. “The 2nd season of the ORRL – Vicious Industries DiRT Racing Series ends on June 26th, 2011 with the 2nd Vicious Industries ORRL 1000, that is about a month after the release of DiRT 3. I know a lot of people will spend more time playing DiRT 3 and forget about DiRT 2, but what will keep our members and newcomers interested in the season is the fact that thanks to our sponsor, Vicious Industries Clothing Inc., there will prizes for the top 3 finishers plus a prize for the Rookie of the Year. We have also grown to be a very close community, so even when DiRT 2 will turn to be an old game, everybody will be up for a fun, clean and interesting Sunday event, whichever game it is. Also, people need time to get used to the new game, race all the tracks over and over again, find the fastest line, the dangerous rocks and the best set-up for their vehicles. The third season will begin on September 11th, 2011, this should give us enough time to prepare for the new season; plan the season schedule, which will take some time because all the tracks, vehicles, settings, etc. are new; change the rules that need to changed in order to fit DiRT 3; change the logo of the series; practice and confirm sponsorship from Vicious for the new season. I can tell you that the first event of the 3rd season will be the 2nd ORRL Destruction Derby. The fact that the event will be held on the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks will allow us to serve tribute to all victims. As you can see it is going to be a very busy off-season for everybody but I’m sure we will enjoy it almost as much as the season itself.” Victor Hugo explained.

Yes, it currently is for the ps3 only. If someone offered to run an XBOX360 series I would gladly accept to include it. Everything would be the same, but I would need a responsible person to be in charge of it.
