I've played Battlefield games for a lot of years, ten now I think, and while they get better in some respects, my fondest memories go back to BF42 and the two expansions. BF2 is still good, Bad Company is OK. I'll probably get this one too eventually. Personally, I still find Day of defeat most pleasurable when it comes to shootin' people on the internetz.

BF1942 wa some of the most fun Ive had playing games online. Besides Motocross Madness. The Mods were awesome.

Ditto.. 42 and Desert Combat were the kings..

I remember the desert combat mod for 42. Favorite map was El Alamien (sp). Map was friggin huge. you were screwed if you were in a vehicle and you jumped out as a plane attacked you cause it was a long walk back to a base to get another vehicle!

Haha. I got real good flying and capping bases with helos on the maps. Hind was a pig!!
