78 Datsun 720 Vintage racer
I am looking at starting a project with my boy and was trying to find any info on LOW Mfg. I put a kit on my 69 datsun back in high school as I wanted to build a new one of some kind. Any info would be great.
2012 Norra here we come!!

That's a tough one...the red is sick but yeah something like a modern Low racer 4x4 would be very cool.

Always wanted the Datsun truck. I'll watch the thread. Have fun with the build. My dad and I did some Junkyard Love with a RS drive train back in the mid 70's. It was fun non the less..... until bikinis took over my attention span.
I need the orange, yellow, fat fender-ed, low to the ground, pro-lite bumper-ed Ranger thread. I've been looking for it again and can't find it. Maybe it's on DR I just can not find it!!
Looked like a fun build too! Connect me with it if you can.

Looks like my son and I just got the truck off ebay. We need to have it shipped from NC hope to have it in two to three weeks and will try to show the whole build on RDC.This is going to be a long project and hope to have my daughter post pictures and the story.

Just thinking on what way to go. Like straight axle in the front with a coil over or go with some killer leaf springs. I also have some ideas on the rear with linking it or leaf springs. Just don't know how trick to go. I keep going back and forth with keeping it like the red one or going all out with all the new technology. My sun is eight and wants to start working on his first real truck (his trophy kart is not going to get him to school when he turns 16) I have looked around for quite a while and think I have found one in NC to have shipped to CA and get this project started.

no we have not sold the truck yet, it is currently sitting in the enclosed gathering dust. it is still for sale and we would consider any reasonable offer. we were asking $12,000 but rodd said he would make someone a very good deal so you may call him at 760-787-9219.
