Re: Snowflake a thing of the past

Typical bone head mentality by the Forest Dept. It's sad how many card carrying sierra clubbers have infiltrated the forset service and the BLM. The dumarses at MDR were the perfect fuel for the fire. The other great fuel is the greedy, money hungry family members filing the lawsuits. Also let me rant about how stupid jurrors are nowadays. The BLM and the Forest dept know these greedy family members stand a good chance of winning even though it was obviously the victim's fault. If Mexico could get their crime under control they could really rake in racers.... Land of the free will soon be Mexico.

Sad to see this go, I've enjoyed racing it many times, even if it was always an Achilles heal for me on finishing. Broke down 2 of 3 times to not finish, and the third time I barely limped the bike in after bending a sprocket in a getoff.

Thumbs down Re: Snowflake a thing of the past

It is an end of an era. Over 40 years of racing has come to an end less than one year after the awful crash in Ca. The government is systematically stomping out off road racing. MDR, DRIVE and now Whiplash. Which race promoter will suffer next?

Higher entry fees, towing distances, gas $$$ etc... I guess AZ racers will have to start teaming up to make races in other states.

Better than letting your car sit in the garage.

Yes.. We need to get all the off road kids we know to go to law school..

start a scholarship program and sponsor young pro-offroad lawyers to fight for the rights of the off road recreation users of America.

With the DAC having established a sub-group for Special Recreation Permits, the door is open to have this out with the gov't. Do your homework, attend the DAC and sub-committee meetings and speak or submit comments. California's DAC is the lead nationally for the entire SRP program and you CAN have an impact.

Come race Mexico, we race RECORD. Its safe, ambulances at almost every check point, great family environment, awsome races. June 24-26th Ensenada to San Felipe come check it out, no BLM, no speed limits, more fun!!!
