A few more of the front glass. Also if you notice all the Fox boxes under the rear of the truck we bought 2.5" coil overs all the way around, 3" triple bypass' for the front, and 3.5" 5 tube bypass' for the rear!

Cool, a door slammer class 6 truck will be awesome. I bet you will have the lightest truck out there. What are you doing in the rear? Keeping your 4 cylinder motor?
We bought a chassis platform from Brenthel, we're designing the cage in CAD now. Will be fun to race against you guys again!

I can't wait to get out there with you guys again Ted! What is your time line with your chassis?
You have hit the nail on the head with our truck being light. We are doing everything we can to keep it that way. I'll put the weights on here when we get that far. I'm sure if we did a complete build we could be lighter but we have what we have and the budget just didn't allow for us to build from the ground up! As for the back of the truck we were going to leave the frame at first but decided to cut the back half off to accommodate some of our ideas in this build. We are going to keep the 4cyl for now since it has proven to be a reliable engine that is stronger than most stock 6cyl's and we have a plan or two to give it a couple extra ponies! In the rear of the truck we have been running a 22 gal fuel cell that gets us pretty far with the 10mpg that we get at some of the races. We are putting in a 32 gal cell though and moving it up to behind the cab so the difference in weight from full to empty has a little less effect on the overall balance of the truck. The rear will be linked with a 2.5" coil over and a 3.5" 5 tube bypass for tune ability! I'm not saying that we are PPI or Ivan Stewart but we are trying to employ some of their thoughts (I think) into what we are trying to accomplish with this truck. You don't have to have the most HP to get it done, its power to weight ratio's, and the lighter you are the less wear and tear on the equipment!
Here are the links from Camburg!

Hey Jason, what are you guys doing with the rear end? Keeping what you've got or going wider? Cool build, very inspirational!!!

We are going to a wider rear end in it but the extra one is going in the other Toyota sitting behind the race truck in the shop pictures. Hopefully the other Toyota in there gets finished someday, I need it for a prerunner!

The 4.0 toyota motor is plenty strong and reliable, would be a very cool swap. Many trucks have done this swap, to name a couple is the TC 5 lug Yota that is featured here on this site and Dan Vance. Vance runs with the v8 trucks so it is a strong motor. Build looks good though!

why such big coil carriers? if your running bypasses, just run 2" coil carries. the springs are cheaper and a lot more choices. the coil carrier is not doing anything but carrying the spring.

No Wendover for us, still in the build phase, and I am heading to California to visit family that week as well.
As for the coil carriers, we thought the same thing and were going to go that route and Fox told us different. We were told by Fox to go with the 2.5" instead. Im pretty sure the parts on the 2.5"s are better than the 2"ers. I also figure Todd at Fox knows the shock business better than me!
