Jason, you guys are doing a GREAT job, keep up the good work. I'll make sure to look for you at thew Baja 1000 during tech inspection so I can see the truck in person.

Here is a video of what the travel looks like from almost full compression (jack didn't go any higher) to just about full droop. The tie rods in the pictures and video are just the mock up tie rods. I haven't made the real ones yet.

very cool, what are you using for pitman arm/centerlink/idler arm? what did the travel number come out to with the steering hooked up?

So... I'm down in Denver for a Fire Dept class. I have pictures of all of it on my camera at home. We are still using the center link, pitman arm, and idler arm from our 7s days. When I pulled the center link out of the truck it went right into the jig I made for it about 8 years ago. We have beat the front of the truck to death over the last 8 years and am stoked it didn't bend even a little bit! The center link was built by me because when the 22r was in there the center link was one straight piece of tubing. The 3rz is such a tall engine I had to make it clear the oil pan so I jigged up the straight one and built the one that clears the oil pan. The idler arm and pitman arm were made by ATS maybe 10 or so years ago and have never bent or broken. We did update the bushings inside the idler and pitman arms though, the way they had them never would last very long.

Oh yeah, forgot about your other question... I quickly did a rough measurement before leaving and it looks like we will be 15.5-16 ish inches of useable travel on the front.
