Marc Burnett did a great job of driving his new truck! 452 miles of rocks and not have any flats, the same tires that started the race finished. We were going to replace rear tires at San Matias, but thought Caspino was to close, we just did fuel and lightbar. The road to Mikes was clear and Marc knows that road very well. When we got to the beach we settled into a safe pace, cruise mode. We were able to hit all the hills in Urpan in day light a big plus. Only lost time in the mud hole the one before the short asphalt road, someone lit gasoline in the corner making us go left into deep rutts were the rear end sunk. Finally paid a mexican in a bronco 2 to pull us out for 100.00. Looking back we could have finished in the top 20 overall.
Special Thanks to GENERAL TIRES, FOX SHOCKS and RACEWORKS for working the bugs out. At San Felipe Marc drove the truck for the 1st time,10 o/c friday night and we almost went end over end a few times, just like his old truck rolled the 1st race. Still finished, but not how we wanted to, so this race means alot to win!!
