New* Pismo Beach Huckfest VIDEO - Big Air contest!
This is the narrated version that explains how the day unfolded at the 2011 Huckfest. The event got shut down early but there are still some sweet shots of Trucks flying high and far. Hopefully next year the event will be sanctioned and the rangers wont have to step in.
thanks for watching!

I hate to be the one to say it, but Pismo is no what is used to be. If the laws goal was to chase all the tourism out of town they pretty much have succeeded.
Good video though!

Yeah, they keep cutting down on the land to play on and now the rangers are cutting down on us playing on the land... Kind of a bum deal but we just need to keep making the best of it while it lasts!

Re: New* Pismo Beach Huckfest VIDEO - Big Air contest!
I believe you guy's have a enough spectators and competitors along with some corporate funds to put this on in a closed course. I know the raw dunes in the "back country" per say makes the huck fest what it is. Plus it keeps it cheap for everyone. Maybe glamis is the alternative. But's that's a haul for a lot of people. I can't see the BLM letting this go on in the future at Pismo.

Oceano Dunes is a state SRVA--not BLM land. A permit would make a big difference. There have been permitted events in the past and were hugely successful. The environment today is such that gov't agencies are not going to tolerate underground/non-permitted events. Get a permit, exercise safe crowd control, and you'll have an event that would probably be welcomed. Do it the way of the past and we are ALL in jeopardy of loosing access to the dunes.

Can you count the violations of the CVC?
Why do people post incriminating evidence on the 'net?
Sometimes, we're our own worst enemies.
Hey! You kids!! Get OFF my driveway!!! If you can't go away happy, just go away!
