    No. 7 Suspension 2002 Tacoma

We picked up a project a long while back and began slowly working on it. Design on it has been slow and plans have changed many times since we started. But we keep moving on and we're excited to get back onto it. We just got to the front suspension, and have the spindles in the house now. So as we are buttoning up the rear, the spindles will be pieced together and the rest of the front suspension will be added. Steering is yet an open ended deal, and billet Al uppers are definately on the drawing board.

Current stats as of July 2011:
    2002 Tacoma 3.4L
Stripped with the back end cut off
    52" Mini Link set
    Tacoma Completion link kit
    9x7 Custom Housing
    F-O-A coilovers, bypasses, and bumps

    Plans up next:
    complete the front suspension
    create backhalf chassis

Ha, thanks guys. I had some photos of another Tacoma that has the identical kit on the rear. Once we are done with that, the spindles will be together and pics will surface.

Re: No. 7 Suspension 2002 Tacoma

Depending on the upper arm design, maybe around the 4k range. What we are doing here is ditching the factory upper pivot contraption and lower it allowing us to shrink the spindle size and open up a larger area for different configurations for shocks and what not. Anything after this will have a more intricate milled snout block with machined caliper brackets to simplify brake assembly as well as shrinking up the bulkiness of the spindle, It's quite large and could go loose some outside dimensions. And thats purely something that will just be more pleasing to the eye. The exterior dimensions right now wont be complicating anything the way it is. The geometry of the whole suspension is exactly what we wanted, just tying in the points were larger compared to most.

Re: No. 7 Suspension 2002 Tacoma

We had these welded up last week and now have the lowers being lasercut. Once those are in, we will up date you guys with the two on the trucks together. The trackwidth is about 81" with the wheelbase pushed out around 2". We are most likely going to do milled aluminum arms on top once we get the lowers back and the upper mounts back on the frame.

Re: No. 7 Suspension 2002 Tacoma

I tried to copy the DR posts into here but couldnt, and the raw photos are too big to attach. We got a handful of revamping done and much more to surface soon. If you guys want to check out some pics. Theyre on DR here or Facebook here. Im tired and its too late to give much more effort on this post :/

Look for the hyperlink in my text.
