The one positive thing I thought might come out of this thread is clarification of MORE's rules. They have followed SCORE in the past and I was very interested to see if Jim would allow the SCORE legal motor into the MORE race.
As I understand it, MORE is using the 2010 SCORE rulebook and has not adopted the 2011 version yet. But would love to know for sure.
Good luck F&L! I would love to see you guys overall it!
I agree and I am talking with MORE to see their rules (class 10) for 2012 before the races being chosen for the pro-10 ballot are listed and sent out to vote.

Re: MORE Class 10
Getting ready to build a new class 10 right now. Decided to move to 10 because of the ecotech. Class makes sense with an inexpensive motor that would be the same for everyone. Lots of new interest in the class. Changing the rules puts the class right back where it was....$20,000 engine/ignition packages. KEEP THE MOTORS CHEAP AND THE CLASS WILL GROW!!!

Matt does not want to cause any unnecessary controversy for anyone. We are not trying to ruin this class or turn around any progress being made. That was not our intention. Lets run this race and evaluate everything afterwards.
I for one Mike would have no problem at all racing againt you guys and the new Honda with our little VW. Good luck at the race!

I like the bravado, but do you really think allowing that motor package into Class 10 is a good idea? Seems pretty short sighted to me.

Re: MORE Class 10
I had hoped to, but my son has made it to the all star little league sectionals for Orange County. If they win this weekend, they play for State the next. I think the Hutchins crew is going to be out at the SNORE race at the end of this month, so hoping to run that instead. I havent had too much luck at the Barstow night races anyway. Maybe a change of venue will be good.

Yes I very much think that this motor package has every right to be raced in class 10. Its a 2.4l, so what says that it cant? If someone wants to spend the money and find other options other then the ecotec, please do. I think that this crying over the Honda having 40 more HP is stupid my self. I race a VW and the ecotec has 40 more HP then me. It dont bother me one bit. I can keep up just fine. So yes, in my eyes, they should be able to race the Honda.
