FAST-Aid is having a raffle that weekend. If you wanted to donate some of that stuff to us to raffle off that would be awesome.

Its to late for me. Everyone else would be much better off saying no comment to all lawyers.

I know this isn't the best place to ask, but were you the one that had his legs stuck under the passanger side of the roof?
If not does anyone know what happened to that guy? He was in pretty good shape besides having a truck on top of him and kept telling everyone to work on others
I'll keep my Guns, Freedom & Money, YOU can keep the "change".

I have plans to attend.
Please keep negative comments out of this thread. Sounds like Travis wants to genuinely extend gratitude to those who helped, and that should help his healing process.

I'm the reason it goes wrong? Rethink that one.
Even a noble event can be used for a not so noble purpose.
You may want to be careful how you talk to me Internet tough guy.

No, you have been asked politely to keep the crappy outta this thread. Several people have questioned the wisdom of your comments, and now its "you may wanna be careful how you talk to me internet tough guy"? Really? Or what???? You gonna beat up the cripple? Tell you what, STFU.

You are the 1% that needed to be there that night, hopefully we can get more people like you to help. I am referring to the people who stood around who drank, talked and watched. In a real national diaster, most will be unprepared and will be hoping the 1% can help everybody. It woulld be nice to increase the pecentage that could help is all that I am saying.

Re: MDR event-who is going?
I am certified in CPR and have 15 years worth of basic combat lifesaving training. I stayed out of the way. Quite frankly, the nature of injuries were well beyond my competency level to treat and at a certain point, more is not better. In my personal opinion, lack of enough properly trained medical personnel on scene was not the problem that night. With limited supplies, at a certain point there is only so much you can do.
I'm not disputing the point that the more people who are trained in basic medical procedures the better, but even with that the average person is not going to be trained to handle a mass casualty event. I guess I just take some personal issue with the "standing around" comment as it implies that people were too lazy or incompetent to help. We aren't talking about a simple fracture that just needed a splint here. The people who were fully qualified and trained medical folks were the ones that were needed. For the most part everyone else NEEDED to get back and out of the way.
