Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a great 4th of July and I would like to thank all of the Veterans and Active Duty Military who are serving our country.
I have been working on many details on the truck since we got back from the NORRA race. A few little things and the big one of putting the trans back in the truck that it came with. I want to find out if we had a internal problem with the trans or a trans cooler problem. We were getting some high trans temps in the race even with a second small cooler we put on before the race. We did a little offroading yesterday with the original trans and the highest temp we saw was 210 degrees. The new trans was getting to 260 in the race. No matter what we come up with I will put as big a cooler with a electric fan on the truck in the right front where the coolers are now. If any of you have any thoughts on this I would like to hear them. Auto trans and their coolers are new to me.
We are going to have the truck at the 6th Annual Julian Classic Motoring Show next weekend, July 14th and 15th at the Menghini Winery. The show is a salute to the 45th running of the Baja 1000. Ivan Stewart is the Grand Marshall. There should be alot of current and vintage off road vehicals there. There might even be some big time off road racers The next Wednesday, July 18th we plan to be at the El Cajon Car Show, Off-Road Madness with the truck. Come by and say hi if you can make it to one of these shows.
We have also have some You Tube Videos you can enjoy here.

Hey everyone, here are some pics from the Julian Classic Motoring Car Show. There was going to be a parade from downtown Julian on Saturday but the only Off Road vehicles that showed up for that was my Dad and I. That`s his VW Thing in the pic. It`s for sale if your interested. The next pic is of Roger Norman, me, Ivan Stewart and Sal Fish. The last pic is of Evan Evans and myself. He said the truck brought back of lot of memories of mantaining it and the race truck when he was a teenager. The show itself had a good turnout on Sunday with Roger Normans and the Vildasolas Trophy Trucks, the McMillins 2 seater Macadue, vintage Off Road Race Cars and Motorcycles, Pre Runners and quite a few Classic Cars. The weather was really nice and I think everyone had a good time.

Hey everyone, we had a great time at the El Cajon Off Road Madness Car Show. We got to talk to a lot people and a lot of friends that I haven`t seen in a long time. I also got to spend a lot of time talking to Mark Newhan about transmissions and he was really helpful. Thank you Mark and it was nice to finally meet you and see Steve Olliges 79 Ford Class 8 that you built. There was a huge crowd of people there and great amount of all types of Off Road vehicles. A long time fan of mine Ron Lopez brought his extensive collection of Off Road photos to display them and they were a big hit. I talked to 2 to 3 other people who are restoreing trucks to particapate in NORRAs Rally next year. That event is gaining popularty with everyone I talk to. Thanks El Cajon for putting on a great event and highlighting offroad racing, in the place where it lives and breathes- East County San Diego.
