    Testing a fuel bladder

So I notice some fuel leaking from my cell and I pulled it all apart. The bottom inch or so inside the can is filled with mud, but I can't tell if the bladder has a leak or if maybe some fuel simply spilled into the can from the top while fueling. What's the best way to inspect and/or test a fuel bladder? Thanks!

Well scratch that, I stood the bladder on its side with the little gas that's still in it and its seeping thru. I need a new cell. I don't think the one I have is serviceable, the bottom corners are filled with cracks. Fuel Safe wants 1400 bucks for a new one, any input on options in that regard? Thanks.

this is for your prerunner right? Didnt score change the fuel cell rules? That would mean that used ones may surface.... I know my friend had to buy a new one for his still incomplete project (jo maoma on here)... i told him you were looking... I think he has a brand new one he cant use per the new rules...

    Re: Testing a fuel bladder

Hmmm, my cell is from Fuel Safe. Its 44 gallons, measures about 25x25x17 (box shapped, no taper). The whole truck is apart right now though so If someone has a 50ish gallon cell for sale I'd be interested.

Talked to Harmon, they have a replacement for this bladder for $1150, which while painful is still better than Fuel Safe.

    Re: Testing a fuel bladder

Thanks, found it, although the one I saw was listed for $644 for the bladder, ring, and gasket only. Even better. I'm guessing its a plastic rotomolded deal which should be just fine in a prerunner. Wonder how long it will last.
