Jeremy McGrath Offroad
Hey all, 2XL posted the first trailers of their pseudo-sequel to Baja.
It's called Jeremy McGrath Offroad and will be available for PS3/360 in the digital store online (XBLA/PSN).
Check out the trailer here!

Re: Jeremy McGrath Offroad
Looks EXACTLY like B:EOC. And since when did McGrath start racing desert in TTs and Class1 cars?
This wont be getting my money.
Don't bother me. I'm wasting potential.
Life's a grave, dig it.

Why all the Baja EOC hate? Find me another game that closely simulates suspension physics and articulation, and contains a large majority of real offroad teams. Not DiRT.
I have faith in anything from 2xl, can't wait for this one. Just hope they take out the whole turning in air feature, or give us the option to.

Because it looks more like an expansion pack for B:EOC. And because 2XL took Baja out of their servers for online play because there wasn't enough demand. I'm guessing the same will happen to this game after a year. And in DIRT, you can't turn the cars in the air, so they do have physics down. As for suspension, I have never seen a game that has ever had a game get wheel movement right. The pivots are always moving around when the suspension is cycling through the travel.

Which is exactly why I asked the question of price. I don't know if it's an early version of the game, but the graphics don't look quite as crisp as EOC. The OP said that this is an xbox live "arcade" game, and most of those go for $10-15. If this is the case, then I will gladly pay $15 for this. However, if this is a $60 game then nevermind.

Re: Jeremy McGrath Offroad
They did not... you can see it in the vid.
Your option for it.. is using a wheel. However, I am MUCH faster with a controller in this game (Baja EOC) than a wheel, which is not the case in every other racing game I play. I get my arse handed to me with a wheel, because you cant correct like everyone else.

Re: Jeremy McGrath Offroad
You guys are wrong... Dirt 1 had the physics down. Class 1's were SO legit in that game.

Re: Jeremy McGrath Offroad
The new game has another new physics model as Rick and I are always trying new ideas and our approach to physics simulation evolves over the years. In Baja EOC, the vehicle really tracked and slid somewhat. The new game much more about counter steering and power sliding thru turns at speed. JMO is a steal at $14.95.
BTW, 2XL didn't take down the Baja multiplayer servers. THQ had a contract with a company called Quazal who hosted the servers. When the term expired, THQ failed to renew the agreement. We were really sad the day we heard they took them down. Baja was a blast in multiplayer.
