Pro1600 Comeback

Some of you know me and others don't. My name is Vince and I am trying to bring pro1600 back. You may have seen the thread in desert racing regarding this. I have spoken with Rick B. and has given me some good ideas on how to possibly make it work. As of right now I have a count of 10 racers who would be willing to race it if it comes back. I am thinking of just picking three races for 2012 to see what car counts we get and to see the mainstream interest in it. I also have two other people who are willing to help me with the behind the scenes stuff. As of right if you are interested in racing pro1600 please pm with your contact info so I can get a list going. I have a few calls to make today that should give me a little more info to move forward with. I along with a few others think this can be big again. I will post more info here as I know it.

I dont want to commit fully because the 1 car is my main focus but I'm a sucker for big car counts.

I would definatly bet I'll be at a few.

I would race them next year for sure... I would love for pro 1600 to make a comeback, you just need to start directing the 1600 racers to this thread to get some attention, once everyone hears that it's possibly back on, I am sure there will be tons of people ready to race it, but it's just getting the group together to discuss whats going on and what they want to do.

I have made some progress in the last few days. Possible ideas are being panned out right now. Once Rick gets back next week I can talk to him about me getting this going again and getting the website and all that. Once I have an official answer I will get back to everyone. In the mean time I am trying to get this forum opened like the pro 10 one so that way even guys who don't post can at least keep up on what's going on. I will keep everyone posted.

I wanted to update everyone on where we are at. I spoke with Rick today and things are going to start rolling rather quickly as the 2012 season will be on us before we know it.
