Head and Neck restraints...mandatory?

that says nothing, do you have any idea how many have done that in the 40+ years this sport has been around? I have done a major endow and felt nothing after it. Anyone claiming they know one of these saved them how do you really know?? Considering how little people have been hurt in this sport over the last 44+ years the claims on here are laughable. Try going 90-100 in a old Funco or Chenowith and crashing,happend all the time, spectacular endows, outragus crashes nobody was hurt that I ever herd from the time I started in the 70s all threw the 80s 90s with only one fatality in the 1978 Baja 500 because the driver hit a pine tree at high speed..The sky is falling talk on this has so little to back it up when it comes to this sport is beyond small. If someone wants to wear these I am the last one to get in the way, but mandatory No! None of you can prove this thing has saved you because I can bet money someone in the past crashed harder than you did present day!and lived to talk about it

Im gonna stick my neck out (pun intended) and guarantee that the cars from yester year don't cover the same ground at even close to the same speed that we do now. That goes for any class. Period.

If you discredit their abilities, im not sure what to say other than your calling engineers at much more advanced levels of motorsports ill informed. But im sure you've got plenty pieces of paper on your wall saying that you know better than they do, and your real world class 9 or 11 experience superceeds their thousands of lab test hours and doctorate degrees right? Do you wear a Snell approved helmet? Of course you do, its mandated. Those same "know it alls" work with the idiots that created a saetg device that possibly could have saved dale earnhardts life in a very "unviolent" typical run of the mill accident.
