FYI Racer engineering TT
Well I don't know where to start but here I go. Porter Racecars, is No longer in business but at the end of its run, sold some chassis kits to Racer, and now they think they own all the rights to them. I am tired of being ripped off in this industry, Danny Porter and myself spent many hours designing those trucks and spent a lot of money to have them drawn up in solid works. Danny Porter still owns these rights. It does not cost much to change a couple things on a truck already designed and call it your own. I have had this done to me a few other times, And I'm sick of it. People should take credit where credit is do. Yes Racer does a nice job of welding and fabricating but in no way shape or form does Racer OWN the Rights to Porter Racecars Trophy trucks.
It's kinda funny a guy told me once we don't know how to build them good enough, yet steals our design tweeks it and calls it there own. Our trucks have won many championships and races with Damen Jefferries 2001-2002 BITD TT champion, and Alan Plfueger, 2004 Baja 500 and primm 300 overall TT, Myself 2007 SCORE class 1 champion, I think I know how to build a truck well enough. Not to mention other cars that I have designed and built continue to win races and hopefully another SCORE class 1 championship.

Insert Team Canada comment here in 5.....4......3........2....1.........! Lol I think most knowledgeable people know who was really behind the design of the majority of those chassis......it is amazing that as tight knit as this community is at times this stuff still happens....

Re: FYI Racer engineering TT
Its funny I have spent the majority of my fab career designing and building cars for other companies mostly Jerry Penhall. Jerry is a guy I respect in alot of ways and since making the toughest decision in my life to leave and pursue other dreams I still would never out of respect to Penhall build an almost Identical car to what his shop is building today. I can say that it is a tough deal to dream up different designs but I believe Imagineering (quote from Curt Leduc) is infinate in our industry. Currently I am designing a new car to hopefully "DOMINATE" the industry but it is a shame when things like this go bad. My 2 cents, take what u know and what you've learned and produce the next best thing whatever it might be. Billy , the people that matter know buddy xoxoxo!!!!

IF they only "thought" they had the rights then how are they able to even change any drawings? I don't have or have ever had TT drawings of porters, but I'd think someone would be pissed if I was selling them when I shouldn't be. Maybe there's more to what he bought than even you know?
I'm sure I'll get flamed for copying some class 1 car...

That is alot of "cars and trucks" on order for any economy. Spill it.... what is your secret to getting so many orders. Could it be a history of winning RACER TT's / Class one cars or could it be a Really good sales pitch. Lets see the list. If I owned a company building so many QUALITY cars and trucks in this economy, I would be very proud to show my order list. Just as I did in the 90's with 76 Race Fuel providing a list of every team who won on the fuels and lubricants I was representing. Or as Billy Gasper has mentioned with the many Class Championships, Series Championships and Mile Stone Awards all won with cars he along with Danny Porter put there life into designing, fabricating, supporting and driving.

Maybe the design guy should be much more careful on how he modifies existing drawings for other customers, and give the new customer actually something new.
