Cool tool box idea, need help with finding foam

So I bought a huge tool box I am keeping in the back of the explorer right now. It takes up about 60% of the cargo room, but I really don't use the rear half anyways. So the picture below is how we have our tool boxes at work. It makes it really easy to see if you have a tool missing, and holds them tight. I need it so my tools don't bounce around as I drive around and obviously so I don't forget and lose tools on a test drive (have done this before lol). What I need is help finding the foam I can cut out like this. Tried and arts and crafts store, but the foam was more like Styrofoam and would not reform after you pressed on it.

We do the same thing at work. First we layout all of the tools, take a picture from above and send it out to be cut out by waterjet or some other form of cutting. Some guys say you can laser it out but never tried that. Cutting it with a Xacto knife is time consuming.
