Dry sump advantages are, you will always have oil going to all of the bearings, especially the rods. When you are wet sumped you need a good oil pan to keep the oil where it belongs, in the pan and not splashing up away from the pickup tube. One nice thing about dry sump (there are many nice things about dry sump) is that you can pull the belt off and use a drill to prime your system before you start it. Just make sure you get a good quality pump like Dailey, Peterson or
Barnes. Spend the money up front and it will last you a long time.

run your season with the wet sump 351, then when you upgrade to the 408 and class 8, get the best @ dailey engineering.
