Thanks Dave for all the hard work in putting this together! As Dave mentioned; Doug and I will be helping make sure the field is level with both pre and post race tech. Be prepared to "correctly" weigh your cars both at tech and after the event as well as have fuel inspected and have the wheel base checked at tech. More details to follow RE the post race tech. FYI, the top 5 (minimum) will be looked at post race and the top 8-10 held, so be prepared! You've got lots of time to make sure the cars make "legal" weight, run pump gas and are 100" as the sit at ride height. Oh and no P.S. Fffffrrannncissss. Viva Clase 9!

1350lbs 2 Seater
1550lbs Single Seater
-No fuel, spares, tools, oil bottles, tire straps, breaker bar, jacks, golf clubs, rocks, chicklets etc...
-Perm attached/not easily removed spare parts such as a 2nd coil, spare tire mounts or a bolted in oil bottle carrier etc... permitted. Required: safety-first aid kit, triangle and a "reasonable" amount of water will be permitted-included in the weigh in's.
-Cars will be weighed post race as they come off the course into the finish with the aforemented fuel/parts/spares removed or allowed as listed above. FYI, that means bring enough gas cans and have a way to pump out your cells at tech and they will be checked (and the fuel looked at) and the cars will be inspected to make sure all items above are removed. Nothing leaves the tech area unless released and the fuel must stay with the car. Bring all tools required to pull the car apart for post tech if necessary as well as be prepared to spend some quality time with your fellow racers making sure all the cars are legal.
-No exceptions and removing the car from post tech prior to being released will result in a D.Q.

Re: 2012 Big Race Thread MORE Barstow July
E.M. where locally to Covina from the pump? I've lived in the area for 17 years and can't find it anywhere and need some for this weekend. Gracias!
Rule/Comments:

Dougie: Please chime in anytime...
Is the fuel your referring to, gas (fuel) which is intended for use by the general public in domestic cars or is it sold as "Race Gas" or "Race Fuel"? IMO pump gas is commonly known and should be limited to a maximum of; a standard "Supreme" grade gasoline of 94 octane or lower purchased at a traditional "gas station". I also believe all common consumer grades of traditional "on the road" gas are a clear or slight yellowish tint and not green/blue/red or purple and the fuels in addition to a normal color should be available at any gas station not just a select few outlets... Example: Since Av-Gas is available at a dozen places in Parker or Havasu IMO it is still not considered normal "pump gas".
I realize I haven't raced a swinger in a few years but do the trickest/newest dual ports at 7.5:1 compression now require more than supreme?; if so no wonder all the trannies are blowing?
Bud: you get a check mark next to your name... One more and you're yellow carded-2 more and you have to spend a weekend with El Diablo! I had too
