2012 Big Race Thread MORE Barstow July

Anybody notice the time limit? 7 hours. Course closes at 1 am? Considering that we wont get off the line until 6:20ish that is not giving us alot of time. Last year at the freedom 250 the winners (Matt Depue) time was 5 hr 20 min for 5 laps. Most of the laps last year were during the day as the race started at 4pm.

It should be plenty of time. Are we racing for money?

Might be a good idea.. 1st place now could be looking at $5k and with some side bet thats just extra fun.. I will say we had $100 side bets in the past but it has been harder to get it going the last few times..

we are doing six laps this year. If you average 1hr 5 min per lap and we dont get off the line till 6:20 that doesn't leave much room to change a flat or anything else.
