FAIR is FAIR but if one guy in the top five has to do it then ALL of the top five should, and why stop at the head pull down a jug and look at the crank.........
My motor builder would have to do it anyway if the head comes off................WHATEVER EVERYONE ELSE DECIDES................

It seemed the fairest way to do it was have the top 5 finishers randomly draw their post tech requirement(s)... If the competitors want to vote on how far post tech goes, then vote on it. However keep this in mind, If you raced in an association and they said pull a head after the race and you said "NO" wouldn't you expect to be DQ'd; if not what good are the rules??? As far as pulling a head; it has been required twice at the "Big 9 Race" (FYI both times the winner passed) and I have been asked to do it once on my car at a SNORE race as part of post tech and saw it as part of the process they required. As far as a "scope"; I believe SNORE has the only magic machine and after watching it work on a car in post tech IMO it was a joke... To answer who would CC a head, that would be handled by MORE tech with us confirming.
On a personal side note: They've pulled heads in post tech for years in 9, 16, 5/16, 10 and 12 but lately everyone seems to have taken the lazy approach to post tech. I and others have witnessed: illegal carbs, tin, race fuel, improperly weighted cars, stretched wheelbases, illegal rocker assy's, valve covers, manifolds, motor sizes in class 9 both during races and in the post tech process. I volunteered to make sure the rules and spirit of the class we're adhere'd to based on what I've experienced and seen in the last 5 years at post tech: No other reason. Seems if you win or place well you shoud be legal and should have no issue submitting to whatever is required as long as no one is being targeted or singled out... Just my .02

I won't be there, but I would say have each DOR in the top 5 draw one card with one requirement, and then complete all 5 on each car. That would be fair to all.
