Remembering Darrell Russell

Russell is remembered in words, photos, and video in special section Top Fuel driver Darrell Russell, who was fatally injured June 27 as a result of a crash during race eliminations at an NHRA national event at Gateway International Raceway, is being remembered from fellow racers, fans, and friends as one of the sport's true great human beings. The 2001 Rookie of the Year was perhaps on the way to the finest season of his young and promising career.
NHRA.com has developed a special mini tribute section for Russell, where fans can find information about funeral and viewing services as well as a newly established trust fund for the Russell family, read comments from many of his admirers, and relive moments from Russell's career.

Darrell was coming up the Fuel Ranks fast, had a great finish in 2003 and was on his way in 04' untill now, he will be missed, and hopefully not forgot.

I heard about that last night..........thats really sad, to watch a kid like him come up through the ranks and after a couple of years it comes to an end......I feel really bad for all of his family and friends.
