Last year, a new stock car event was added to the Toyota Speedway calendar on the Thanksgiving weekend: The CANIDAE California Classic presented by MasterCraft Safety became the second part of a great holiday weekend racing show which features USAC Midgets and Sprint Cars in a race series that goes back to 1934. The CANIDAE Classic fills out the weekend of speed with a new stock car event that's just starting its own tradition with the second running this year.
CANIDAE Natural Pet Food Co. is the title sponsor of the 2nd Annual CANIDAE California Classic in conjunction with Lucas Oil and Toyota Speedway. This year, the Classic fills out the second half of a great racing weekend with super trucks, late models and super late models all competing on Saturday the 26th.
Through the three day racing weekend, CANIDAE will be offering race fans money saving coupons and free samples of its line of healthy and natural dog foods, cat food, and gourmet pet treats.
"There's a strong tradition of holding a very big race over the Thanksgiving weekend in the SoCal area," said Toyota Speedway VP/GM Bob DeFazio. "Our addition of the CANIDAE California Classic to the mix makes Toyota Speedway the place to be for a wide range of serious racers and knowledgeable fans. We're really looking forward to this one."
