and id like to give my condolences and wish a speedy recovery to George and Kim Reiss. they both crashed/rolled their trucks pretty hard in the competion. im pretty sure they werent hurt bad, but it still sux as they are super cool people and i have had the pleasure of racing with them in the past at other events. so i hope they get well soon, and that the vehicles arent damaged too bad.

Re: Tough truck competition @ Del Mar
Thought I would throw out an update on this. George's truck did not roll, but it did do one hell of a wheelie, and it landed on the back bumper (spare tire holder) when it landed it hit really hard and broke something the drive train, George was not injured.
Kim defiantly set fast time from the green flag to the first table top, the truck kicked hard (she looked like Robby Gordon in his video at glamis) and it nosed in uncontrollably as she tried to correct it. Kim was not injured, but unfortunately her truck was. I know she will be back in a new truck very soon.
Eric Blankenbecker (sp?) went for the big air show, and while it was cool the truck landed hard, and he suffered a broken lower back. He is out of the hospital and moving around, thankfully no major problems occurred like paralysis, I wish him a speedy recovery. Amazingly his truck was driven off the course and onto the trailer under its own power, and after seeing the left front bump stop the thing should have ripped a spindle off! WOW.
