Re: Supercross 2012
Anyone think Nick Wey will be recruited to fill in for RV for the summer? Already a Kawi rider and had subbed before.
Don't bother me. I'm wasting potential.
Life's a grave, dig it.

Shea nailed it....RV was the last of the fast guys to get hurt. How can a guy like Quinn Cody wad up as hard as he did in Dakar and come back for San Felipe and RV slips out and misses the whole outdoor season? Desert guys must be way tougher.

That's right, forgot about Deitrich. He did damn good last time he filled in.

Re: Supercross 2012
This is a reinjury of a knee and this will be his 3rd season sitting out from it.
Waldo it's pretty simple; if he can run fastest or equal lap times as everyone else on this bike that he is crashing his brains out on and we already know he can run even faster and more consistantly (perfect season, domination, Kawasaki)...it's not that hard to figure out. Several top pros have said how horrible that bike is. I didn't used to like Reed much but he is a pretty real guy now and has no reason to just bash Yamaha (especially with Larry Brooks not involved), OR give Stewart an excuse. If you can't see the obvious every weekend and don't buy what Reed, Millsaps, Jason Thomas and everyone else who gave their opinion on that bike has to say then you will have to just wait a few weeks until (if) he rides a yellow one.
Mike, get real like saying Millsaps results getting better and better as the field shrinks defending the Yamaha? There was even LESS competition for Faith on the JGR Yamaha last weekend than their has been with his success on Hondas. Ryan Dungey rode his KTM for a few days before MEC and got 2nd. Faith should have been able to atleast make the night show on the JGR bike, compared to his regular and consistant top 10 main event finishes.
It doesn't look good for Yamaha is what I'm saying, forget anything about JS and see it for that.
Keep this thread alive.

Re: Supercross 2012
Shea...it's not JUST the bike IMO. JS7 was crashing hard early in his career just like now. He's had that "stigma" since before Yamaha. He got lucky after RC retired and scored a 24/24 outdoors on a Kawi...(RC had already accomplished the feat on a Honda already....so?).
Regardless, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind as every rider, given the choice of brands, would want to ride the bike that fits them best (there will be a good/bad bike~always). Anyway, if he can win on "that Yamaha" & pull fast laps w/o crashing... there's other factors besides ONLY the bike IMO.

Re: Supercross 2012
I still think that Yamaha is a pile. He has to ride that much harder to keep up with the Kawi than before. hence why he eats the dirt more. If he stayed with Kawasaki, he would have had ended up with more championships than McGrath
