My cage under the roof is also triangled with 1 1/2 inch 120 wall. Safety is important to me and if you run a thin piece of sheet metal with velcro and no cross tubing your just f-n stupin Nikal. You cant fix stupid. I just wanted your opinion on an incident that happened with a roof and window net infraction with two people not how a car is built and if you thinks it safe. Hell why even have shoulder harness's and belts you dont need them either.

Randy I will apologize to Nikal but realize I was not saying that she was stupin personally. I meant that anyone that builds their car that way , (sheet metal with velcro, no tube etc.) over safety is stupin. I was just telling her that, wrong gramar and was pissed. Build your car safe and if something during a race happens to make it unsafe then stop so an accident or injury does not shut down off-road racing. Ask my boys they rolled our car and it cracked the upper tubes in the cage. I noticed it and made them park the car. Yeah they wanted to keep going but as a FATHER and someone thats been around this sport and noticing what injuries and deaths are doing to our sport I think I made the right decision. I'm making other safety rules for our team also and they dont like but oh well. Its over but thanks for letting me explain.

no worries...and i'm glad it's over..and any discussions that contribute to making things safer are welcome discussions for sure.
