Klaus~ It all started back when I had Dave at Fabtech build me a extended upper and lower a-arm kit for my Toyota truck. At that time back in about 1994ish I was one of the only Toyota trucks around with the extended uppers and lowers and it drew a lot of attention. A lot of companies copied and redesigned the kit after that. Tim at Signpros nick named me Ivan Dan. From there the kit was called the "Ivan Dan" kit. I'm not exactly sure how or why everyone started calling the fiberglass kit Ivan Dan.
Klaus I am pretty sure the glass was named after Ivan Stewart from when he raced the small trucks. Here is a shot of my old truck with the 84-88 Ivan hood and fenders.
