No disrespect to the drivers mentioned intended. I feel they deserve any support available out there. It it s tough times out there, many of the best may not be able to compete as they should. I wish everyone the best of luck next season.

This season was a huge sheet of thin ice that would decide the future of the short course sport. The industry held together and it was a great show with a solid foundation laid down. Nothing is concrete yet but it feels much more stable than it did at the beginning of the season.

- Lucas Oil's Marketing Partners = Dixie Chopper, R&L Carriers, Super Clean, NGK Spark Plugs, K&N Air Filters, Geico, General Tire

2). This is not a poor mans sports, and that is quite obvious.

Come on Micah, and your on the marketing end of this deal right?

Who's in charge of the T.V. production with this program?

You are correct from your point of view in the number of trucks sporting the Lucas brands and affiliates.

However, how much money do you think these companies other than Lucas paid Lucas to be attached to Lucas?

How many times can you say Lucas in a single sentence? Lol... seriously though.

How much money do you think Geico paid/pays Lucas to have their name branded/attached to Lucas?

I couldn't even begin to guess what that number is for just the drag racing program alone. To have the Lucas name replaced with Geico WOW!!!! Just imagine the rest of it.

All in which are refilling the Lucas pockets directly.

I don't think the man is any of the above. The point trying to be driven home here is how the money could be spread across the whole race spectrum. Allowing all involved to be exposed creating the avenue for marketing partnerships throughout the field not just dumping more money into one or a few but across the board as a whole.

It's simple really just move some of that money laterally or in the Lucas series case some T.V. time/exposure exposing as many teams/drivers as possible allowing them a chance at bringing outside money into the sport, and creating a marketing competition within.

At this point I could really care less to have any of those mentioned above included in my program. I want to be able to show the potential marketing partners of mine the value that's out there to be had in this awesome sport of ours.

What we have now is so one sided and selfish it's not even funny. I guess if you can create a monopoly without being noticed more power to you, but to me it's plain as day what's happening.

It's definitely not a poor mans sport, and if you look around it's not necessarily a rich mans sport either, and it's not a smart mans sport at this point either. Well I guess there's at least one smart man involved.

However it sure is addicting, isn't it?

I stated early NGK Sparkplugs was a Lucas Oil Marketing Partner. It is actually E3 Sparkplugs.

I am not saying there is no room for improvement and everything is just swell. I see where everyone is coming from and the overall big picture. I also see that the bigger picture of a 50 state fan following race series is years and years away. 60/40 will never happen

As a 1 year series in business now, I say things are going pretty well and in the right direction. Among many other things, TV is going to be the key channel in what the future holds.

If you can hook any serious support out there and throw in a decent season (podiums included), it will be a win win for everyone. Companies spending money methodically in this sport will make the return and recognize the value. For every dollar spent supporting a specific program or promotion, they are likely to spend 2-3x that to promote and advertise that promotion.

I seem to be really optimistic and contain a good attitude about most everything. I guess it is my downfall.

That's definitely not your down fall you are a good man.

Anyone that knows me also knows that I am a very positive/optimistic person as well and even down to earth.

I'm not afraid to call it like it is though.

Things need to be changed in order for this sport to move forward.

What I'm saying is all meant with the best intentions.

I love ideas like this.

Consider the Rockstar U.S. Open
Playing field is open, talent and skill is the deciding factor.
