We did have a Quartzite Rally at one time and used roads near Parker, Ca and roads just right off where you have Parker 450-500....BUT the BLM has found the dirt roads in La Paz county not legal so to them it is considered off road trails and not county roads. BUT La Paz County is working on making their paperwork correct and they have to do road surveys to comply to the NEPA act.

We had a meeting with the BLM about allowing us to run under them as BLM roads but they will only consider the Parkers races as the only activity at that time to be permitted.

There are some really nice dirt roads in that area and Quartzite Rally went over really exciting when we had it ....so many want it to come back....so we hope in the future to be able to....

Thank you for asking...
Denise,

I just sent you an email about the Seed 9 Rally, and I am no help in dealing with the BLM, but if some how you guys could manage to get a permit out of them for a rally race in the Parker area off of Shea Road, I would volunteer to take you guys out and show you some of the county roads, etc that I think would be ideal for a rally race, transits included etc. I am sure you guys already have an idea on the areas you would like to race at, but for expanding more stages etc.

Trent

Thank you Trent...great! What we need to find out from La Paz County Public Works is if the roads you are talking about are indeed legal since there have been county applications problems from 20 years ago...and BLM is calling it on them...
amazing...BUT La Paz County are working on making their dirt county roads legal again...but I have not talk to them for over 2 years to see where they are on those roads...

I use Yuma Proven Grounds roads for Desert Storm and La Paz county specifically say that is their legal county roads. We use Riverside County roads....

But yes if sometime soon we can look at the roads you are talking about would be great....

Bill Holmes has entered to solidfy his overall winnings in the Southwest RallyCup series and to win in the CRS series. So
there will be a great competition going on in Jean, Nevada....

If you can volunteer to hellp out then go on to www.rallydata.com and click on to Seed 9 Rally.

We still need control marshals and some licensed ham operators.

Sweet! Will this include non-steel cab vehicles like four seat buggies? I would love to come rally my 4-seater.

Sorry...you need to be within spec to drive a legal vehicle on regular roads..like on a freeway or county road....check out the rules under...www.rally-america.com
under downloads and you can download the rulebook....

Now you can run that type in a rallycross which Southwest RallyCup Series is going
to bring on rallycrosses in 2010 from the San Diego area.
