[SUB]S old sh---- just different day![/SUB]
thanks, got it
Looks familiar, haha.
Any changes at all to last year or same exact course?
someone might have moved a rock over a little bit on the summit...looks the same to me.
Pretty much the same, was hoping for something different...
Some of the changes I noticed:
- From Borrego to San Telmo; the course doesn't run parallel to the highway anymore
- After Ojos Negros it looks like they changed the course a bit
- It now takes 41 miles to get to Ojos Negros so I think that implies changes between Ensenada and Ojos Negros; then again, that part of the course always changes because of the housing developments outside of Ensenada
Besides that, it looks the same, no big changes.
According to the course notes it looks like we are running the beach rocks again. Love that part. I hated the farm fields above Erendira especially prerunning closing all those gates. And looks like we are taking the wash all the way to the San Matis rd crossing instead of next to the highway. That was cool to watch but was not safe for people driving on the highway.
It is back to the course i like. Wish i was better and could ride. But i will be the best chase driver around for this one.
I also noticed the slight change between Ojos and RM 80. Specifically between RM60 and 75.
Are you guys sure about the changes after borrego? To me it looks like the course goes out into the wash for a bit then heads up to the highway and stays right along the highway the whole way up to the road crossing. Same as 2009. So if you are on the highway the race vehicles will still be right next to you.
Does anyone know where BFG Pit 1 will be this year?
usally around RM 86 right before check 1
The changes to the course between Ojos and K77 are the same as the Mill last year, more tight and technical than the prior route and it's pretty beat.
Borrego to San Matias is pretty much the same as the Mill as well, it cuts away from the road and heads out to run down the power lines which is particularly ugly in the way of woops.
Yep looks like I was wrong, it is not the 2009 line after Borrego. We will be doing the hideous powerline whoops. I hate that section and it will be me again on the quad there this year.
newbie question here... around what rm is the summit and powerline?
I am waiting for the map with Simpson's and the VDT Goat Trail, and the loop in back of Mike's..... when is that one coming out?
