A Customer came to us with this brand new 2008 Chevy Silverado 4WD with the Vorctec Max 6.0L, Wanting us to design a 4WD Long Travel kit for it and SUA Deavers in the back with a Bedcage. Heres the Progress pics and a Sneak Peak at the kit.

During mock-up the kit cycled 16" lock to lock with 4WD

Is the rust in this photo normal?

That's going to be a clean machine when it's finished.

Rust = normal. Raw steel and iron = rust. Other than being ugly it's not a big deal.

Ya, it looks like it does. I am thinking so it clears the bottom light fully?

Looks like a cool project. How much wider did you have to go to pull 16"? What's the track-width going to be when it's finished?

The bumper looks like that because of the way I took the picture, I will assure you its level.

Its about 4" Wider per side

I am just wondering why couldn't you have put the shocks lower, like off the back of the axle? Just curious, not insulting, truck looks great reguardless. I was just thinking that if the shocks were outside the leafs and off the back of the axle, they would be close to the same height as the top of the bedrail. But maybe there isn't room or they are better off the top. Once again, don't take it as an insult. The truck is purty either way.

It would rub the tire if we mounted it outside the leaf spring. The only way to keep the shock outside the frame rail would be to run it in between the U-Bolts.

like how you decided to use king "race" bypass shocks in the rear instead of the "prerun" versions nice upgraded touch.
