What happened to chuck hovey at the vegas to reno ???????????
I believe the word floating around was Blown Engine.
So the thread starters name is kinda ironic....
NOT A DANZIO MOTOR!!!! jk it happens. and loomis you are very observant...
And a motor builder....very ironic to this thread
THAT was funny.
I heard Chuck Norris changes his last name to Hovey when he goes racing so he doesn't scare the competition to death.
sorry i didnt know what happened to him !!!!!! just was curious.
Curiosity killed the cat....
I know I watched that whole 10 mile video thinking the in car was going to show what happened and notta.By the way Chuck thanks for the great deal on the spindles you rock.
Anyone know why who chose to race his older class one, compaired to his newer one that he ran at Parker and the TT 250? Was his older one better suited for the course?
Chuck is running a stock ls7 that has a couple of our minor tricks done to it along with our engine management. At v2r he broke a timing chain. We have not had one fail untill this and he put about 600 miles on the engine prior to the chain failing. We have had a custom chain set from Cloyes made for chucks car and my car. The will also go into any other race LS series engines we do.
Everyone knows how off road racing goes...sometimes shlt breaks!!!
... saw an interview where he said that he has pretty much been building this spare car all year long specifically for the 3 day v2r
bummer, thats racing i guess.... he's had some bad luck this year, hopefully he'll pull one off soon.
Ive heard that the old car is just easier on parts being that much lighter. So for a long race like v2r he decided to go with it. It will be interesting to see what car is used for the next race.
Here's the scoop. You guy's preatty mutch got it. The new car "Bubba" is one hungry dude. He could make it but we would have had to really prep the crap out of him. With him being beafy, he's harder on parts. The old scat car "Brittney" was ultra durable but let's say she was kinda saggin'. In the past with the old set up she was really easy on parts. She had already done the same kind of race before with great results. So the guy's at the shop decided to take a risk that she would still continue to do so. After a good messaging and new "bolt on's"...LS7.. she was ready to hit the streets.....I mean dirt.. They then took her out to plaster city and ran her hard. Brought her home, everything checked out good. Way easier on parts, let's go to Vegas baby! The guy's at the shop, Chuck, Dean, Jimmy, Chad and the rest of the guy's really worked there butts off to get her ready! She really turned out awesome! Damn timing chain! Mile 150 done! See you all at the Silver State! Look for her, she will be dressed in red and ready to kill! .
Anything man made is subject to failure. Perfection only exists in nature.
thanks for the 411 / good luck with the rest of the season.
which is why i grace this earth.... jk
oh brother. gag me with a pitch fork.
