First photo is the torn down TT getting some race prep sitting next to the prerunner

The second photo is the Team Ford (period built) prerunner.

The third shot demonstrates the period correct front suspension. The only update is the new Fox Shox. While most current truck run only two, this classic runs three to soak up the punishment that today's deserts give out!!

Number 4 is of the engine bay. Here the 427 side oiler will be reinstalled after the rebuild by Greg @Total Performance in Santee, Ca.

The first shot in this post demonstrates the how much droop the state of the art '79 prerunner has.

Number two will appeal to anybody that loves a high gloss black paint job

Number three is a step back side shot...

Some more of the masterfully fabricated parts on this '79 Ford prerunner built in 1981.

    One last one...

I will post details of the original build back in 1981. I will also post additional pictures as the truck goes back together. This is a very bitchen piece of our history. The fabrication is awesome even by today's standards...

subscrbing & definitely looking forward to more!

LOVE the yellow cad plated parts.

Also the motor mounts are simple yet sweet. Any way to get a closer pic of one? Is the round tube for the bushing cut in & welded to the stock tower I would assume?

Full story to follow. It was built in 1981. It didn't get used much. The truck oly has 41xxx miles on it. It now belongs to Steve Olliges and he is VERY excited about getting it back. Greg at Total Performance is making the engine driveable, we had the transmission gone through and got the appropriate converter for it. It has a Cone 9" floater in it (maybe the first one he ever made).

I will post the full story soon... Stay tuned!

    Im looking forward to this.

Do you know what kind of shocks you have on the prerunner? The shocks that are mounted in the bucket. Some info on those would be cool, That might be a nice set up for my truck.

79 Fords are the BOMB, especially the bump sides. Hope you keep updating this thread unlike the last one on that beater Chevy class 8 truck you started a year or so ago..... :D
