Rumor has it that there is going to be even bigger problems when the cartel tries to get their guys out of jail. Such a bummer to hear this is happening in our favorite place.

Bob Bower is in Cabo now. He hasn't mentioned anything on his FB page.

Don't think that video is what just happened here since it was during the day. We haven't heard much about this down here, the news we are getting is from family at home. We have a house in Ensenada and spend several weeks in Cabo each year....just wondering what the news is at home about this.

Our news is littered with murders in the US. I guess I should move to Antartica...

It's not safe there either. Reports of baby seal clubbings is on the rise.

I agree that their are lots of shootings stateside, but not too often are they like this ... the streets of Cabo have had multiple shootouts over the past 36 hours, ... they have been reported all over the Baja websites ... don't put your head in the sand, pay attention to what's going on and be safe ...

Hey Pat, this might not sound like a big deal to you but when we are sitting at Tabascos with our kids and can hear the gun shots and sirens it hits a little too close to home. Not saying we won't ever come to Mexico again...

i was secondaried myself in tecate last time i went down. first time in several years. they said it was random and that it was just the luck of the draw...some luck..i knew the main man in the inspection area after crossing a bunch of times when he was on duty at the gate and he just took a token look and i was on my way. still felt guilty somehow waiting even though i didn't have a reason to..why is that i wonder?

You mean you guys don't always get to go to secondary?, Every time I pass through in my chase truck I get sent to secondary.
Here is a tip for the thugs of the world, if you are transporting anything across the border, don't do it in a chase truck.

I've heard gunshots from my house growing up. Multiple times. Murders right in front of convenience stores and fast food restaurants. Talk about "close to home"...

The world in general is a dangerous place. Not just Mexico. Viva Baja
