Baja 1000 only hours away

For some it’s the calm before the big storm while for most fans its the beginning of one special party. Today was contingency for the biggest baddest off-road race there is in North America perhaps the world. The Baja 1000!
Contingency Day is the day before the race where the streets gets closed down and all competitors get to push their race vehicles through a sea of race fans and vendors. It’s also the place of the pre-race tech inspection mandatory if you plan on racing the next day. It is a national holiday and not to be missed by anyone at all cost.
All of this is very standard practice other then this is the grandfather of all off-road races and its being held in Mexico. It doesn’t get any better other then perhaps the race itself tomorrow.
Enjoy our photo highlights of today’s happenings.
