Race-Dezert has exciting news regarding the coverage of the 2010 SCORE Baja 1000, for the first time RDC is going to have unofficial leaderboard timing; featuring corrected time for race leaders. The timing leaderboard is made possible by a sponsorship from General Tire. Paired with the leaderboard; the Weatherman Radio feed, presented by Mastercraft Safety, brings the race into your home.
In addition, Team RDC will be stationed up and down the race course, equipped with the new DeLorme Earthmate PN-60w with SPOT Satellite Communicator-, the only handheld GPS device that allows you to send text messages from remote locations around the world via the established SPOT satellite system. We’ll be checking in from in Baja and reporting what’s happening during the race. Look for live updates and news in the “Cover it Live” section.
All of these options allow Race-Dezert to bring the Baja 1000 to life like never before. Whether you’re at home, the office, or in Baja, RDC allows you to track the Baja 1000 and see who’s leading the race overall and you’ll also be able to sort by class. Featuring checkpoints every 100 miles, race leaders are clearly displayed at the top of the timing page based on corrected time, allowing you to enjoy the coverage and not worry about figuring out who’s leading the race.
