It was a hard fought battle the entire race between Robby Gordon, Rob MacCachren and BJ Baldwin, but in the end Baldwin would be crowned the overall winner of the BITD Silver State 300 beating MacCachren by 14 seconds. Starting 3rd overall and two minutes behind Gordon, Baldwin made up enough time to win on corrected time after finishing physically third. All day long the three teams were all within minutes of each other, never giving any one driver more then a couple minutes lead. With his Class 1500 win, Robby Gordon made it three class wins in a row after also winning The Mint and Parker back in February. Finishing 4th overall and 2nd in class was Chuck Hovey followed by Voss, Justin Davis and Todd Jergenson.
Race day showed cooler weather then Thursdays qualifying where temperatures reached the 90′s, and thankfully the wind picked up as the course was very dusty. The wind may of played a factor in the tight race since dust wasn’t as much of an issue. For full unoffical results check out our live coverage page where we had IRC tracking, live video, and up to the minute scoring for all classes.
