BWDC Qualifying

Qualifying at the BITD Blue Water Desert Challenge took place today on roughly a three mile course of sand and silt. A new two heat format separated the trucks and buggies into their own qualifying rounds. Top honors were taken by BJ Baldwin and Ray Griffith.

BJ with a time of 3:03.052 and a 51.13 mph average “I seriously almost crashed in every turn.” said BJ. “We hung it out there and it paid off, we’re ready for the weekend.”

Ray with his top time of 3:04.047 and 50.86 mph average “I actually thought this was my worst qualifying ever, we’ve been that number two guy so many times.” said Griffith “I’m happy we have some clean air to run in and we’re gonna give it our best!”
