The year started out with dominating results at the Battle at Primm race, Camburg suspension sweeping the podium with Richard Blunk 1st, Matt Borden 2nd, and Heidi Steele 3rd. Racers Richard Blunk and Heidi Steele are racing on the un-equal length Camburg custom 4.5” I-beams with the Custom radius arms and transmission X-Member. Matt Borden is racing on Camburg’s full race equal length I beam kit. Going into the next race who would end leading the points?

After this year’s General Tire Mint 400 it is becoming to be known as the hardest race to finish. The Mint 400 had a finishing rate of 36% due to its extremely challenging terrain. This is a true test of the abuse these trucks are under for 400 miles and over 10 hours of non stop racing, so if you want to finish yet alone reach the podium you need quality parts.

Coming off his win at the Battle at Primm Richard had some stiff competition, Heidi Steele. Heidi is last years SCORE class 6 unlimited points champion and knows what it takes to win the long tough races. It was a battle all day for Richard and Heidi but in the end Heidi won the race and Richard took second place. Richard is still leading the points with a tight margin of 36 points. Richard with 1340 and Heidi with 1304 are way ahead of the competition by close to 300 points.

Going into the next race will be a great battle between Richard and Heidi to see who ends up in the lead! Good luck and keep up the out standing racing!
